About the ESEM
The Egyptian The Egyptian Society of Electron Microscopy (ESEM) is a non-governmental non-profit society. The founding members are a group of faculty members from different Egyptian Universities and Institutions: Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute, Ain Shams university, Assuit university, Mansoura university , Suez Canal university, Tanta university, Zagazig university and Zewail City of Science and Technology. The society was registered by the Ministry of Social Solidarity under No. 6707 on the 29th of October 2019. The headquarters of the Society is Theodor Bilharz Research Institute. The Society is managed by a board of directors made up of 13 members working in the field of life sciences or material science. The initiator of this Society is the Emeritus Prof. Soheir Mansy, the Former Head of Electron Microscopy Research Department and Deputy of Clinical Laboratories Research Division at Theodor Bilharz Research Institute, Ministry of higher Education and Scientific Research. Currently, she is the president of the Society.
